She Escapes?
July 19, 2005 | |
No my friends, the escapeartist has not disappeared.
At the moment, she is diligently pouring over her powerbook, compiling the provocative trials and tribulations of her lustlife. And this is a work in progress, as the chapters keep growing…
To those curious escapeartist followers who crave the full self-deprecating recount, you’re in luck. Soon you will find the intimate details of yours truly exposed unapologetically amongst the B&N bookshelves. Complete with raw images, short stories, and yes, even candid excerpts from friendsters such as you, that has helped to shape the escapeartist tale you’ve come to now as of ‘Lust/Lloss & Men That Are Totally Wrong For Me.’
You never know, dear reader, you may even find a curious recount of your own influence in one of these chapters…
My debut novel would not have been possible without the contribution by the men in my life who inspired such creative prose. So to The Angel, The Soldier, The Whipcracker and The Ghost (You know who you are). The torment you, or shall I say I, put myself through as our fates intertwined has motivated some of my best work. And I thank you for that.
Most importantly, I would like to send a shout out to my dedicated VIP.
The one who didn’t allow for my escapeartist tendencies to come between us.
The one that has found his way into my heart and has swept out the cobwebs.
I know this journey has not been easy–
as you have come to know me through these published raw moments,
(sometimes exposed a little too vividly for your liking-I know).
But as you can see, the layers that wrap around this introspective girl are many,
and the jewel you’ve worked so hard to expose indeed shines for you,
and you alone.
The sullen stories of my past have become just that–my past.
No longer a chapter in my life I chose to pause upon, but rather turn the page
and allow for the development of a character more fluid and open to possibility…
Since we met, my tale has since been illuminated by your open heart.
And before us stretch horizons miles long where you’ll find a scene more optimistic,
A decidedly less dramatic tale. One that may sell less novels,
but lay the groundwork for a road less traveled in my story,
That elusive happy ending.
Stay tuned…
